1. What I've Done - A way to show that the band has changed through the years, the single was released from the band's third studio album Minutes to Midnight. Songwriters Joe Hahn, Chester Bennington and Mike Shinoda wanted to apply the lyrics to show how the band has changed. Bennington stated in an interview with MTV in March 2007 that the single is "us saying goodbye to how we used to be".

2. Papercut - The song was never officially released as a single in the United States but became the fourth single from their debut album Hybrid Theory. The song still gets airplay on rock radio stations today, despite the song only reaching number 32 on the mainstream rock charts.

3. Castle of Glass - With the electronic sound the band has added into their musical influence, the song received mixed reviews from critics. The song has a bit of a country underlay with the traditional song structure and melody. The song is filled with some outstanding songwriting which continues to show the growth in the band's talents.

4. Shadow of the Day - The third single from the third album Minutes to Midnight, the band takes a more arranged approach with the sound of strings in the song. With a reflective and insightful look at the world the band's song features lyrics of 'Sometimes beginnings aren't so simple, sometimes goodbye's the only way'.

5. Breaking The Habit - With the electronic beats in the song and the rock groove mixed in, the band began to have a different sound from previous singles. It was the final single released from their second album. The song does not feature any rapping vocals by Mike Shinoda which is part of the band's unique sound. The single was a view of a friend's drug addiction written by Shinoda, a misconception about the song is that it was written by lead singer Chester Bennington due to his personal struggles with substance abuse.

6. One Step Closer - The band's first single from their debut album blasted onto the charts and ending at number four on the Mainstream Rock charts. The band was ending every live concert with the song until 2007. The song features great beats and guitar work throughout with a building increase in energy and power.

7. New Divide - The single received rave reviews and has remained one of the most critically acclaimed songs by the band. The song was featured on the soundtrack to the film, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. The song is built on layered, heavy synths and a superior drum performance by drummer Rob Bourdon. The single debuted at number six on the Billboard Hot 100, this was the highest debut for the band.

8. Crawling - The single is written from the personal battles of substance use by lead singer Chester Bennington. Released in 2001 as their second single from their debut album, the song looks into the lack of control over oneself in terms of drugs and alcohol. The video for the song looked into the perspective of a woman and her abusive relationship and the inner conflict she deals with.

9. Somewhere I Belong - From the band's second studio album, Meteora, the single has the hopes of healing and belonging. The lyrics reflect the inner look at past wrongs, the pain and numbness someone has ignored and the wanting to look towards the future with hope. The song reached number one on the Mainstream and Modern Rock charts.

10. Guilty All The Same - A return to a hard rock metal sound with a blend of electronic beats, the song is featured on the band's sixth studio album The Hunting Party. Hard rock drum beats, a mix of grunge sound guitar riffs, hard core gritty vocals by Bennington and some hip-hop rap vocals by guest rapper Rakim re-introduced the band to the metal fans.
